Supervision

Supervision and Peer Consultation

I provide supervision and consultation for psychologists and other health professionals working across clinical, forensic, disability, and related settings.

This work is reflective and in conversation, with a focus on thinking through the complexity of practice, ethical decision-making, and professional development.

What supervision focuses on

Supervision often includes work across areas such as:

  • Clinical and forensic practice,
  • Complex presentations and multi-system work
  • Risk, safety, and safeguarding contexts
  • Navigating corrections systems and justice, youth justice, court reports, forensic mental health, domestic and family violence, education systems and disability.
  • Ethical and professional decision-making
  • Reflective practice and professional identity

It can also include supporting practitioners working within complex professional and regulatory environments.

About the work

A lot of supervision is about slowing things down enough to think, but not over-thinking.

That might include untangling complex cases, making sense of system pressures, or reflecting on the emotional and ethical load that can come with this work.

There is often no single “right answer” – the work is about developing clarity, judgment, and confidence in complexity.

Experience in context

I have worked with psychologists at different stages of their careers from early registration through to experienced practitioners working in high-responsibility roles.

This has included supervision and consultation in contexts involving formal professional standards processes, including complaints, reflective practice requirements, and other regulatory frameworks.

Who this is for

Supervision and consultation are available for:

Psychologists (registered and provisional)

Clinical and forensic registrars/interns

Practitioners working in complex or high-pressure roles

Professionals seeking reflective, case-based consultation

What supervision is not

Supervision is not therapy or clinical treatment.

It is a professional space for reflection, thinking, and development in relation to your work.
